Christina Giannoulopoulou

Who I am: I was born in Thessaloniki and began classical ballet at a very young age. In 1983 I graduated from the Greek National School of Dance as a teacher of classical ballet and contemporary dance. I continued with postgraduate studies in teaching and choreography at the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing in London and in Cologne, delving into methodology, movement analysis, and the creative process.

Career path: I taught for two years in Crete (classical, contemporary, music–movement education, kinesiology) to children and adults. Since 1985 I have been based in Kavala, where I founded an amateur school of classical ballet and, in parallel, choreographed for the inaugural Municipal and Regional Theatre of Kavala (DIPETHE Kavala), cultural venues, schools, and alternative stages—initially with the school’s ensemble and later with my own dance company.

Today: At Tri Body Studio (founded 2006, Thermi) we cultivate a holistic approach to movement with a primary focus on Pilates. My teaching is fully personalized:

  • Rehabilitation after injuries with safe, progressive protocols.
  • One-to-one sessions for targeted strengthening and posture.
  • Senior groups with emphasis on balance, flexibility, and autonomy.
  • Pregnancy & postnatal period, with gently adapted programs.
  • Vulnerable groups, with careful progression of load and breath work.

My constant goal: safety, functional strength, better posture, flexibility, and calm. My experience in dance and choreography meets the principles of Pilates and Yoga so that every class is meaningful, enjoyable, and effective.

Tri Body Studio (founded 2006, Thermi). A multifaceted space for alternative exercise—Pilates, Yoga, and dance—with an emphasis on quality of movement, safety, and well-being. Behind the studio is the owner, with forty years of teaching experience and a continuous presence in movement education.

Philosophy: I believe in the power of consistency and proper guidance. Every session is an opportunity for better body awareness and real progress.
